Policy 0800.00 Statement of Guiding Principals

The Board of Trustees recognizes that its mission is to prepare today’s students for tomorrow’s challenges. The board of trustees also recognizes its fiscal responsibility to the citizens of the school district for the efficient management of local, state, and federal funds allocated for public education.

Regarding the district’s fiscal management, the Board seeks to achieve the following:

• Engage in advance planning with staff and community involvement, to develop budgets that will achieve the greatest educational returns in relation to dollars expended.
• Provide timely and appropriate information to the staff.
• Establish efficient procedures in all areas of fiscal management.
